Sharing Science with our Community

Scientific Outreach

Laboratory of Genetics members actively participate in scientific outreach, in the spirit of the Wisconsin Idea that aims to extend UW-Madison research and knowledge to benefit all members of the state.

Members and Organizations

Members participate individually as well as through organized events led by the Undergraduate Genetics Association (UGA), Crow Institute Outreach Club, and the broader UW-Madison Science Alliance. Activities include our annual Darwin Day.

Activities include

Darwin Day, the Wisconsin Science Festival, the Wisconsin Alumni Association's Wednesday Night at the Lab seminar series and the Plato Senior Learning Series open to the public, and district-wide Family Science Nights at local K-12 schools.
